| I openly admit that I have donated no money to the relief efforts. But I do feel that I have done something more. The last two times I went to the arcade there was a boy there. We began talking ... and have continued. He is stronger than I could ever be. I have come to find that he lives(lived) in the middle of New Orleans. He was hit by the hurricane. He got out there by sneaking onto a bus to get to an airport. He then took a couple flights to get out here and is now staying with a friend. He hasn't heard from his father. One brother of his is alive and he has heard from him. They still can't find his other brother. He doesn't know if he'll be staying out here permanently or going back home. All he knows is that he's been told not to go back until at least November.
Money means nothing when you can donate your time and your friendship to someone. Do all you can to make them feel welcome. To make them feel at home. My boyfriend has been doing the same for him. I just hope he can remain strong, and whether he stays here or not, I hope he is happy. | | comments: 1 comment or Leave a comment |

| Some things have been bothering me lately. Mainly today, but I like to say lately.
I find it humorous that some people have to lie for attention. Also to get person A do dislike person B just because said liar doesn't like person B. So this means person A is not aloud to like person B? And in all reality, it's because this liar is jealous of person B and hasn't gotten over it. One thing I've always hated is a liar.
My job is getting better, except I'm too damn reliable. They go to me for everything because they know I'll do it. But they do baby me because if they lose me they lose someone who is pretty vital. I do a lot. I think I have more clock-in options than anyone else!
One thing that hasn't been bothering me is my lover. He's great, and makes me smile, and lovely, and beautiful. And he tells me I'm beautiful. I love it.
And to these liars and "haters" and the like...I'll use a quote I've loved since a few years back.
You're just jealous 'cuz we're young and in love.
